ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is for a mobile and remote Notary Signing Agent who will complete mortgage loan signing appointments for lenders, title companies, and escrow offices. You will verify signer identity, walk borrowers through their closing package, notarize documents accurately, and make sure every loan package is returned complete and error free.
KEY DUTIES
Conduct mobile and remote notarization of mortgage loan documents for clients in Alderson and surrounding areas.
Verify the identity of signers and administer oaths or affirmations as required.
Walk borrowers through their loan package and make sure every signature, date, and initial is completed.
Accurately complete notarial certificates and keep a complete notary journal and log.
Return signed loan packages to the lender, title, or escrow company by the required deadline.
Ensure compliance with West Virginia and federal notary laws and regulations.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive borrower documents.
Provide exceptional customer service and professional communication with borrowers and clients.
KEY PROFILE
Must be a U.S. citizen with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Active Notary Public commission in your state of residence.
Proficient with remote notarization platforms and technology.
Knowledge of mortgage documents and loan signing terminology.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with state and federal notary laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High speed internet connection, a reliable computer with a camera and microphone, a printer, a mobile phone, reliable transportation, and a home office set up.
PAYMENT
$75.00 to $200.00 per loan signing appointment.
SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
Flexible contract work. Choose the appointments that fit your schedule. Remote and mobile assignments in Alderson, West Virginia and the surrounding area, U.S. only.
